In today’s world there is so much division.  Religion, politics, race, culture, even sports have given people the idea that because they have different beliefs and preferences from others, they can’t understand, befriend and much less love and respect them. 

 

These same people will show compassion and concern for animals that they don’t show towards their neighbor. 

 

Sugar and Bella’s adventures have been shared online by their mommy--a former television news anchor and have brought several communities together through their own displays of love and affection for each other, although they look so different. They love the same things in life and each other. 

 

Sugar and Bella want to help young people grow up with this basic understanding of compassion, empathy and inclusion with the hopes that the adults who purchase their books will learn those lessons as well.
